On November 4, 2017, Houthi forces fired a ballistic missile on Riyadh’s main international airport. This incident violates Customary IHL Chapter 3 and Chapter 6.
Ta'iz Governorate
On November 2, 2017, Houthi forces shelled a residential area killing five children and wounding two. This incident violates Customary IHL Chapter 3 and Chapter 6.
Yemeni Government and Saudi-led Coalition

The Saudi-led coalition continued to prevent essential humanitarian aid from reaching civilians throughout Yemen by closing all land, sea, and air ports. The denial of humanitarian relief to civilians in need violates customary IHL Rule 55.
According to the Yemen Data Project, the Saudi-led coalition carried out at least 168 air raids on civilians and civilian objects in November.
San'a Airport, San'a Governorate
On November 14, 2017, the Saudi-led coalition conducted two airstrikes on Yemen’s main international airport destroying its navigation station. This prevented humanitarian aid from entering the country. The denial of humanitarian relief to civilians in need violates customary IHL Rule 55.
Hiran, Hajjah Governorate
On November 7, 2017, at least 30 civilians--including women and children--were killed in a coalition air raid in the Houthi-held village. At least 16 airstrikes targeted the village. This incident violates Customary IHL Chapter 3 and Chapter 6.
Sa’dah Governorate
On November 1, 2017, at least 29 civilians were killed in Saudi-led coalition airstrikes on the Alaf market in the northern governorate of Sa’dah. This incident violates Customary IHL Chapter 3 and Chapter 6.
On November 2, 2017, seven members of a farming family, including the farmer himself and three of his children, were killed in a coalition airstrike on their home in Baqim District. This incident violates Customary IHL Chapter 3 and Chapter 6.
On November 10, 2017, four civilians were killed in Saudi-led coalition airstrikes on a house in the Razih area. This incident violates Customary IHL Chapter 3 and Chapter 6.
